Shwedel Dental hosts its "Dentistry From The Heart" each fall, providing the first 125 people with free dental care.
A team of dental professionals at Shwedel Dental will provide patients with a free filling, extraction or cleaning. There will also be several oral surgeons, hygienists, dental assistants and other dental professionals donating their time and resources, in order to provide free dental care to as many residents in need as possible. This DFTH event donates thousands of dollars in free dental care and provide much needed relief to people in need in the community.
Anyone is invited to the annual event at 25650 Goddard Road, Suite A, Taylor, MI 48180. This event is for adults 18 and up. Patients are asked to arrive early as the event is a first-come, first-serve basis. Event registration begins at 7:45 a.m. and patients will be seen through 5 p.m. that day. History
In 2001, the Dentistry From The Heart program started with Dr. Vincent Monticciolo, who wanted to give back to the community and to provide aid to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance. Dentistry From The Heart is a registered non-profit organization that provides free dental work for people in need. Since its inception, Dentistry From The Heart has grown to include over 200 annual events nationwide and has provided more than 60,000 people with an estimated $8 million in free dental care services.
